From the sea to the mountains, the region offers the possibility to practice many sports: water sports, skiing, rock climbing, biking, hiking... On the Cerdagne and Capcir plateaux, lies a vast ski resort. Leucate and La Franqui host the “world Wind”, the first kite surfing and wind surfing events to be held in France. The Côte Vermeille is popular for its diverse underwater flora and fauna. The back country and the coat are home to many equestrian centres and feature a vast network of bicycle paths.
